Find some deals that you want to refer friends for
You get bonuses from companies when you refer a friend to them. Most companies require you to be an existing customer. So the first thing you want to do is find the companies that you deal with already through the Directory. Have a look at the ones that you want to refer friends for and click on the "Start referring friends for this offer" link. (We've tried to make the website as simple as possible!
Check your other providers to see if they have deals we don't know about
If you can't find your company in the list then either it doesn't offer incentives for referring friends or we didn't know about it. If that's the case then click on the "Submit a company or new offer" link and tell us about it. As a bonus if you tell us about a deal, you'll be the first to be notified about new friends for this deal.
Try out some new companies
Most of the deals on the website offer an incentive for the "friend" as well. If you're thinking of switching Broadband providers for example, then it might be worth switching to one of the ones that offer deals for referrals. In some cases you can try out the new company before you switch, e.g. the First Direct bank account deal or the gym and spa memberships.
Some companies will offer an incentive to refer a friend, but not give a bonus to the "friend". It's still worth having a look at these because they may be a good company anyway. Also, if you do decide to join after being referred, then we will give you priority for your own referrals. In other words if you let someone refer you for the XYZ deal, then if you refer others to the XYZ deal later, you will be first in line to be matched up with new "friends".
Tell us what you think
This website was created to make the most of all the "refer a friend" deals we kept getting in the post and kind of grew from there. If you have any feedback (good or bad) or suggestions for us, we'd be very happy to hear from you.
